On February 8, the 9th China Disabled Persons' Ice and Snow Sports Season and 2025 Beijing Ice and Snow Carnival for People with Disabilities, hosted by the China Disabled Persons' Federation and organized by Beijing Disabled Persons' Federation, kicked off at the National Stadium (the Bird's Nest). Representatives of the people with disabilities from Beijing's 16 districts, Yanshan area, Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area, and specialized associations for the people with disabilities, as well as athletes from China's wheelchair curling team and the Special Olympics speed skating team, gathered together to share the joy of winter sports.

Themed "Blooming Ice and Snow Dreams - Enjoy Rehabilitative Fitness Sports," this year's carnival introduced fun programs such as snow shooting, snow tank, and snow mountain adventure.

Since 2016, Beijing has held the carnival for nine consecutive years, with the annual number of participations growing from about 5,000 to over 10,000.
