The first-ever Beijing Taco Fest took place at the square of Tiantongyuan Culture and Art Center from May 20 to 21. More than 20 high-quality food and beverage businesses from Sanlitun and other international communities in Beijing gathered in Changping, offering citizens and tourists gastronomical delights from around the world.

The event consisted of three areas for exhibitors, interactive games and resting spots. Mexican tacos, Italian handcrafted ice cream, Cantonese dim sum and other distinctive regional offers attracted a large crowd of visitors. The local specialties of Changping were also highly popular among the visitors.

Combining culture and tourism, the first Beijing Taco Fest is a significant event promoting both Chinese cuisine and others from the rest part of the world while demonstrating the internationalized image of Changping. As a major section of the event series of the 2023 Changping Consumption Season, Beijing Taco Fest demonstrates the friendly, open and positive nature of Changping with tasty food. Moreover, the event has now become one of the contending highlights of Huitian Area (an area encompassing sub-districts of Huilongguan, Tiantongyuan, etc.), spotlighting the charm of Beijing as a center for international exchanges.
