In November 2025, the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism released the first list of designated Beijing Intangible Cultural Heritage Workshops. A total of 25 entities were included, including Beijing Gongmei Group, Beijing Stonelight Great Wall Homestay Co., Ltd., and Qiaoniang Handicraft Development Center in Fengtai District.

The workshops include those of time-honored brands such as Rongbaozhai, Wuyutai, and Bianyifang, which enable massive promotion of the relevant intangible cultural heritage items through well-developed techniques and brand influence. The workshops based in rural regions, including Stonelight Great Wall Homestay and Qiaoniang Handicraft Development Center, are also covered, which integrate intangible cultural heritage into modern life, based on scenarios like employment of rural residents and rural tourism.

It is noteworthy that many workshops are now offering experiential zones, study programs, themed dining, and cultural spaces, with several other measures taken, allowing the public to appreciate traditional craftsmanship by watching, learning, shopping and savoring.

Among them, Beijing Enamel Factory Co., Ltd. and Beijing Yidege Ink Co., Ltd. have developed multifunctional experiential spaces focusing on their representative intangible heritage items, like cloisonné-making techniques and Yidege's ink production technique, respectively. Beijing Longshuncheng Chinese-Style Furniture Co., Ltd. has made efforts to introduce classical hardwood furniture into modern life, by leveraging Jinyu Longshuncheng Cultural and Creative Industrial Park, which houses a Beijing-style furniture museum and a restoration center, with study programs offered to the public. Beijing Gongmei Group has built the "Yu Xun Jing Xi" (予寻京喜) intangible cultural heritage space, which moves beyond traditional exhibition cases by setting up interactive areas for crafts like wire-inlaid enamel and Beijing embroidery. Meanwhile, Beijing Bianyifang Roast Duck Group Co., Ltd. has adopted a model that integrates "a master workshop, technical archives, and on-site learning", enabling visitors to learn about the main steps of the traditional closed-oven roasting technique while enjoying the authentic flavors.
