The 2024 Beijing Animation Festival kicked off on October 10 and will run for five days. The event includes opening and closing ceremonies, forums, sub-events for venture capital investments, and exhibitions, as well as fair-based carnivals, animation-themed concerts, a cosplay gathering featuring traditional Chinese costumes, and e-sports experiences. It serves as a broad and multi-dimensional platform for stakeholders and practitioners of the animation industry to exchange ideas, and offers animation lovers a feast of endless joy.

The opening ceremony

During the public open days (October 11 to 13), free tickets are available for all through the official WeChat account of Beijing Animation Festival, and you can enter and participate in various sub-events, including anime-themed symphony concerts, animation puppet musicals, "The Great Qin" XR immersive exhibition, a cosplay gathering featuring traditional Chinese costumes, e-sports experiences, "Animation Voice" voice actors meetup, and "The Most Beautiful Story of China - China Picture Book Fair 2024".

Besides the on-site sub-events in the park, the event will concurrently offer a series of animation film screenings. Five cinemas in Xicheng District will showcase nearly 20 animated films produced in China, including "New Happy Dad And Son Six: Shrunk", for a month. BRTV-KAKU and other television channels, as well as online video platforms such as Youku and Yangshipin, will also broadcast outstanding Chinese TV cartoons.
