Since July, the Beijing Tongzhou Railway Station, located within the Beijing Municipal Administrative Center Integrated Transportation Hub, has been operating 12.5 pairs of trains daily on weekdays. The fastest journey to Beidaihe takes 76 minutes, while Tangshan can be reached in as little as 55 minutes.

With convenient transportation connections and rapid access to popular tourist destinations like Beidaihe, the station has been featured prominently in travel guides shared by online content creators. Many of their posts encourage residents of Tongzhou and the wider eastern Beijing to enjoy short seaside getaways at destinations including Aranya. Comments include: "Those in eastern Beijing should give it a try — weekend seaside trips are now within easy reach," and "Taking the train from Beijing Tongzhou Railway Station to Aranya is incredibly smooth." On social media platforms, creators have shared detailed information about routes, photo spots, and personal travel experiences. Some travelers, however, have suggested that the transportation hub add more dining and commercial facilities inside to better accommodate passengers waiting for trains.

The first group of businesses has opened, including popular fast-food outlets like Qingfeng Baozi and Subway, as well as a chain supermarket and toy stores. A number of other stores are still undergoing interior renovations.

Passengers can also visit an exhibition while walking through the hub's urban corridor level. A special archaeological exhibition, "That Year in Tongzhou — A City Walk Across a Thousand Years" (那年来通州——跨越千年的城市漫步), is underway within the hub, giving passengers an opportunity to learn about the Grand Canal culture and archaeological discoveries from the ancient Lu County ruins while waiting for their trains.
