The domestic transfer area in Beijing Daxing International Airport (Daxing Airport) was officially opened on June 25, saving approximately 20 minutes for transferring passengers.

Previously, non-through passengers with checked baggage who were transferring at Daxing Airport on the same day had a poor transit experience as they have to leave the domestic arrival area, claim their baggage, and then check in again with their baggage. After the opening of the domestic transfer area, these passengers can now check in at nearest counters after claiming their checked baggage, thereby shortening their walking distance and making their transfer more efficient.

Passengers transferring to China Southern Airlines, Xiamen Airlines, and Chongqing Airlines on the same day, if their checked baggage is not destined for the final destination, may directly check in at the domestic transfer area instead of leaving the domestic baggage hall after claiming their baggage.

Daxing Airport will expand the scope of services in the domestic transfer area later based on its trial operation, and will push for the opening of additional fast transfer services for all domestic airlines.
