Dongcheng District has always been a rich place with concentration of business and merchants. As a commercial center, it has a history of more than 100 years. In Wangfujing, the "golden street", there are time-honored enterprises like "Tongshenghe", "Shengxifu" and China Photo as well as the famous domestic companies such as Wangfujing Department Store and Industrial Arts Mansion, etc. Still, the Sun Dong An Plaza and the Oriental Square, with a proportion of 800,000 square meters, are also located here.
