China's first full-lifecycle management service platform for humanoid robots was launched in the Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area (BDA). The platform provides a full-chain management service system spanning R&D, manufacturing, market approval, sales, maintenance, decommissioning, and material recycling. It also enables each humanoid robot to be assigned a unique lifecycle identity, with dedicated "ID cards" expected to be introduced in the future to ensure traceability.

The platform was spearheaded by the Humanoid Robots and Embodied Intelligence Standardization Technical Committee under the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China, with a closed-loop governance mechanism established for it, featuring traceable origins, full-process controllability, risk prevention capabilities and clear accountability. It provides technical means for more precise government regulation while helping enterprises reduce costs and improve operational efficiency.

The China Electronics Standardization Institute and the Chinese Institute of Electronics jointly organized the drafting of the Specifications for Full Lifecycle Management of Humanoid Robots (人形机器人全生命周期管理规范), which mandates the use of identity codes for all humanoid robots and the establishment of a full-lifecycle governance system centered on robots' identity documents. In the future, each humanoid robot's unique "ID number" will consist of 29 characters. The first two characters will represent the country code, the 3rd to 6th characters will be the enterprise code, the 7th to 12th characters will be the specific product model code, and the 13th to 29th characters will make up the robot's individual serial number.
