On May 25, the Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC) Beijing Representative Office moved into the operational platform of the International Commercial Arbitration Centre (Beijing) and officially opened. The establishment of the SIAC Office at the platform reflects strong confidence from the international legal services community in Beijing's judicial credibility, law-based business environment, and professional service capabilities. It also serves as a key step in Beijing's efforts to accelerate and upgrade the development of an international commercial arbitration centre.
Founded in 1991, SIAC is a leading international commercial arbitration institution. It has provided professional arbitration services to clients from over 100 jurisdictions, and its arbitral awards can be recognized and enforced in multiple jurisdictions under the New York Convention (United Nations Convention on the Recognition and Enforcement of Foreign Arbitral Awards).
Since 2022, Beijing has systematically advanced its development as an international commercial arbitration centre and introduced the Regulations on Building Beijing into an International Commercial Arbitration Centre. Following the launch of its operational platform in 2025, a one-stop, end-to-end commercial dispute resolution service system has been established. According to the latest international arbitration survey, Beijing ranks fourth among the world's most preferred arbitration seats.
