From dancing robots to a modern smart factory and tech-powered traditional Chinese medicine therapies — all of these are on offer in Beijing E-Town and Daxing District. Head there this weekend for a getaway that combines technological wonders, wellness experiences, and heartwarming encounters with animals!

The Robot World is a cutting-edge exhibition center displaying numerous kinds of robots, highlighting user experience. Here, you can converse with the humanoid robot "Einstein" and watch robots play soccer. The upgraded Robot Restaurant is now open, where robot chefs will cook a variety of classic Chinese dishes for you.

Weekends: 9:30–17:30 (open to the public with limited spots for special study-tour time slots)

Note: Operating hours during statutory holidays may differ. Please refer to the official schedules before visits.

Reservations: Reservations can be made via the "E-Town Robot-World" (亦庄机器人Robot-World) WeChat mini-program after real-name registration. Each booking allows up to three people.

For foreign visitors, reservations require assistance from Chinese ID card holders. Bring your reservation confirmation code and valid original passport for on-site registration.

Xiaomi EV Factory

Located in Beijing E-Town, the factory is more than just a production facility — it's a smart manufacturing hub that integrates R&D, production, sales, exhibition, and experience. Upon entering the experience center, you will be greeted by blue Xiaomi SU7 vehicles full of tech vibes, which are suspended on a Möbius strip.

In the exhibition hall, various Xiaomi SU7 models are on display. In the factory, smart robotic arms perform with incredible agility, AI-enabled visual inspection systems work in tandem, hundreds of robots operate autonomously, and all of the key processes in the body workshop are automated... All of these make for a truly stunning view exclusive to a modern smart factory.

In June, the factory will host 82 guided tours in total: 2 tours per weekday, and 14 on weekends. English-guided tours are available at 15:30 on June 21 and 27. To book a tour, you may download and open the "Xiaomi Auto" (小米汽车) App, tap "Discover" (发现) and then "Events" (活动), and choose "Visit Xiaomi EV Factory" (走进小米汽车工厂) to sign up.

Baidu Apollo Park

Baidu Apollo Park is the world's testing center for autonomous driving and vehicle-road collaboration technologies to be used in real-world settings.

The park is equipped with over 300 test vehicles, serving for the entire development process from R&D to testing. Here, visitors can learn how autonomous driving technologies are advancing with each iteration.

At present, visits are primarily open to groups by appointment. To inquire, follow the WeChat account "Apollo Intelligent Driving" (Apollo智能驾驶), tap "Services" (服务), "Service Inquiry" (业务咨询), and then "Apollo Park" to leave a message.

DAY 2: Tong Ren Tang Zhima Health No. 0 Store → LongFor Paradise Walk Daxing → Beijing Wildlife Park

Tong Ren Tang Zhima Health No. 0 Store

The store is an immersive wellness experience space, created by the time-honored brand Tong Ren Tang. It houses Asia's largest 24-hour unmanned medicine vending machine. Across its 2,000-square-meter space, thousands of traditional Chinese medicine boxes are suspended to form an artistic installation, while classic medicine cabinets have been transformed into a photo-worthy backdrop.

LongFor Paradise Walk Daxing

This is a 150,000-square-meter complex offering a mix of dining, entertainment, retail and fun activities. In June, Beijing's first indoor forest-inspired space will make its debut here.

Beijing Wildlife Park

The park serves as an animal protection base, an education center, and a sightseeing destination, featuring drive-through tours in the predator zone and interactive encounters with cute animals. It is a good choice for family trips in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region.
