The performance calendar is packed with family-friendly productions, including the NCPA International Children's Theatre Season, the 14th China Children's Theatre Festival, and eye-catching shows from the Beijing Children's Art Theatre and the China Puppet Art Theatre. Renowned troupes like the National Centre for the Performing Arts (NCPA) and the Beijing People's Art Theatre will stage classic plays such as "Twelfth Night". International acts will also take the stage, including Russia's Ballet on Ice, "Sleeping Beauty" and "Swan Lake", along with beloved children's plays like "Little Red Riding Hood". Additionally, new performance venues such as the Jixiang Theatre and the Zhengyici Temple Theatre will offer fresh and diverse viewing experiences this summer.

You can embark on a summer escape to Beijing's suburbs, where you'll find primeval forests, alpine meadows, and wetlands. For instance, the summer cultural tourism activities for the public in Miyun District will distribute over 13,800 free tickets, while 38 guesthouses and hotels are offering special discounts. There are summer cooling activities at the Shunyi Olympic Rowing Canoeing Park, and immersive night tours at scenic spots like the Badaling section of the Great Wall and Yanqi Lake.

Beijing is also embracing the "culture-tourism+" trend, creating micro scenarios that integrate cultural experiences with leisure and commerce. The 12th "Animation Beijing" will run from July 18 to September 18, featuring an animation game carnival and a season of animation-themed shopping. Across the city, night markets, open-air cinemas, light-and-music festivals, and late-night food fairs are bringing new life to summer evenings. Highlights include night tour activities at Qianmen Street and Longfu Temple Cultural Block, as well as treasure hunting and food tasting at Moon River Night Market and Panjiayuan Night Market. Other creative experiences include the "Encountering Good Things" fair in Tongzhou District and the "Universal Cool Summer" limited-time at Universal Beijing Resort.

Starting July 10, 43 museums across 22 higher educational institutions, including Peking University and Beijing Jiaotong University, have opened to the public. Exhibits cover fields from archaeological art to ethnic costumes. Visitors can book tours via university hotlines, official websites, WeChat official accounts, or the "New Map of Education (教育新地图)" mini program.
