Recently, the China-Germany (China-Europe) Hidden Champions Forum 2024 (hereinafter referred to as the "Forum"), as part of Beijing China-Germany Forum for Industrial Cooperation and Development, opened at Beijing China-Germany International Conference and Exhibition Center in Shunyi District. Under the theme of "Openness and Innovation, Win-Win Cooperation", the Forum attracted nearly 400 representatives from political, academic, and business domains, with more than 50 hidden champions and specialized, refined, differential and innovative enterprises showcasing their products and other achievements.

This year's session is the first-ever one of the Forum. Its following sessions will be held annually in Shunyi on a long-term basis. Focusing on the characteristics and demands of well-known German and European enterprises, hidden champions, and innovative small and medium-sized enterprises coming to China for development, as well as in-depth discussions on hot development trends in the related industries.

During the event, a research report on the industrial cooperation between the hidden champions from China and Germany[A1]  was released. The report analyzes the features and development experiences of German hidden champions, and elaborates on their international strategies, challenges faced, and their potential demands for cooperation with China. It also proposes suggestions for cooperation between Chinese local governments and enterprises and German hidden champions, such as joint innovation, enhancement of supply chain security, provision of better customer services, an initiative for co-building innovative cluster ecosystems, etc.
