On September 23, the core event at the Beijing CBD sub-venue of the 2026 Beijing Chaoyang International Light Festival – Consumption Season, titled "Imaging: Beijing CBD Night – 2026 City Rap Finals and Beijing CBD Imaging Contest Awards Ceremony" (映像·北京CBD之夜——2026城市rap总决赛暨北京CBD影像大赛颁奖典礼), was held at the Public Green Space in the Beijing CBD. The event comprised two main segments: an urban photo and video contest and an urban rap contest.

The Beijing CBD Photo and Video Season (北京CBD影像季) has been held for eight consecutive editions. In 2026, the event was upgraded to "Imaging: Beijing CBD Night", with the photo and video contest and the rap contest running in parallel and calling for submissions from around the world.

Participants in this year's rap contest included the office workers of the Beijing CBD, workers in new forms of employment, students from Beijing-based universities, international students in China, and students from overseas universities. Their participation made the event evolve from a campus contest into a city-level cultural celebration with international reach.

In the future, the Beijing CBD will continue to explore practical pathways for integrating business with culture, showcasing its open, inclusive and international atmosphere and vibrant regional dynamism.
