Samsung's first biopharmaceutical R&D center in China has opened at the Center for Acceleration of Manufacturing and Commercialization of Synthetic Biology (the "Center" for short) at the Life Science Valley of the Future Science City, with a strategic focus on building an antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) technology platform.

Developed by Samsung Epis Holdings Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Samsung Group, the center is positioned as a global R&D hub concentrating on the R&D of innovative drugs. As Samsung Epis's first biopharmaceutical R&D center in China, this is a landmark foreign-invested pharmaceutical R&D project launched in Changping District, aligning closely with Beijing's key industrial priorities in synthetic biology manufacturing and R&D of innovative drugs.

In December of 2025, the Center also welcomed the "Dual Engine Lab" of Pechoin Biopharmaceuticals, which serves as the company's core research platform for biopharmaceutical and medical aesthetics technologies.
