Private Enterprises Drive Export Surge in Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Region by Exports by Private Enterprises in Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Region Grow 8.5% in First Quarter

In the first quarter of 2025, the export value of private enterprises in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region reached CNY 142.75 billion, marking a year-on-year increase of 8.5 percent.

Overall, exports by private enterprises accounted for 44 percent of the region's total exports in the first quarter, marking a 3.6 percentage point rise year-on-year. Statistics show that private enterprises in this region have become more dynamic and active in foreign trade. A total of 25,117 private enterprises in the region recorded export activity, up by 2,495 or 11 percent year-on-year. Among them, 223 are AEO-certified enterprises, which benefit from streamlined customs procedures and international mutual recognition, an increase of 7 from the same period last year.

Over the past 11 years of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Coordinated Development, Beijing's foreign trade has taken the lead. According to Beijing Customs officials, exports from Beijing's private enterprises have maintained year-on-year growth for 21 consecutive months. In the first quarter alone, Beijing's private enterprises exported goods worth CNY 35.57 billion, a 33.7 percent year-on-year increase, outpacing the national average for private enterprises by 26.7 percentage points.
