The 2024 China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS), with the theme of "Global Services, Shared Prosperity", is scheduled to take place from September 12 to 16. The fair this year will be more international, professional and market-oriented, focusing more on the trading function of the exhibition to set up exhibitions, negotiations and promotions, results releases and various supporting activities. Nearly 50 countries and international organizations have preliminarily confirmed their participation and exhibition arrangements.
The fair will extensively invite foreign government departments, foreign embassies and consulates in China, and international organizations to introduce development policies, advantageous sectors, and cooperation projects. It will also engage industry associations and prominent enterprises from both domestic and international spheres to conduct various activities, including thematic promotions, demand releases, project matching, contract signings, and exchanges. The purpose of these efforts is to stimulate the import and export of high-quality services and promote investment cooperation. Currently, nearly 50 countries and international organizations, such as France, Ireland, Japan, Australia, and Mexico, have tentatively confirmed their participation and exhibition arrangements. Notable enterprises such as Philips, Amazon, and GE have confirmed their participation. Additionally, institutions such as the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) and the World Trade Centers Association (WTCA) will host nearly 100 negotiation and exchange activities.
