The Xicheng-Salzburg Music Week will take place at the Beijing Tianqiao Performing Arts Center from October to November 2025. The event will feature debut performances in Beijing by several acclaimed troupes from the Salzburg Festival, along with the first Mozart-themed exhibition authorized by the Salzburger Mozarteum Foundation. With a Mozart-themed exhibition, a series of special concerts, and a music-themed consumption week, the Music Week will present a high-caliber artistic feast to the public.
The opening concert will also serve as a special event for the "Beijing Financial Street Night" on October 28. It will feature a collaboration between four principal musicians from the Mozarteum Orchestra Salzburg and renowned Chinese violinist Lü Siqing.
The Mozart-themed exhibition, running throughout the Music Week, will display replicas of manuscripts, historical images, and restored scenes, paired with tech-powered immersive and interactive installations. Additional highlights will include a cultural souvenir area and a themed coffee truck.
A series of six concerts will be presented by the Mozarteum Orchestra Salzburg, the Ensemble Péridot Salzburg, the Salzburger Orchester Solisten, and the Salzburg State Theater, offering audiences authentic European classical music performances.
In partnership with local music-themed businesses, the music-themed consumption week will promote discounts on retail, catering, and experiential services throughout the district. It will also provide quality services for all participating artists.
