The 2025 Crabapple Gala Opening Ceremony and Crabapple Poetry Party themed "Appreciating Crabapple Blossoms, Promoting Cultural Exchanges" was held at the Former Residence of Soong Ching Ling on the afternoon of April 7. It brought together over 200 representatives of diplomatic envoys in China, diplomats, international organizations, and friends from more than 40 countries across five continents.

The event featured children's poetry recitations, Peking Opera performances, and singing. Guests from both China and abroad gathered here and participate in a variety of hands-on activities to foster mutual understanding, friendship, and cultural integration among nations.

As a signature event under the "Bookish Xicheng" initiative, the Crabapple Poetry Party has been held annually every April at the Former Residence of Soong Ching Ling since its launch in 2018. This year marks its eighth edition.
