Beijing's first lakeside racetrack is now under construction. This is the circuit for the 2025 GT World Challenge Beijing E-Town round, which will be held from October 17 to 19 in the Tongming Lake area of the Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area (aka Beijing E-Town).
This 4.9-kilometer-long track starts on Kechuangshiqi Street and runs through Jinghui West Road, Jinghui East Road, Keguyi Street, Kegu'er Street, and Tonghuiganqu Road, forming a unique figure-eight layout with nine turns. Compared with conventional street circuits of around 4 kilometers, this track's multi-turn design makes the race even more challenging and competitive, while smartly utilizing the existing municipal road grid to avoid monotony. The surroundings feature a lake, a park, and part of the local urban area, rarely seen in domestic street races.
The FIA (Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile) plans to conduct an on-site inspection one week before the event to ensure that the track meets design standards, crash barriers and safety facilities are up to par, and the pit and other supporting infrastructure are complete. Once approved, the circuit will be awarded a Grade 3 circuit license, the essential "passport" for hosting the race.
This October, come to Beijing E-Town and experience the exhilarating speed and excitement of this world-class motorsport!
