Beijing Expands Temporary Restricted Areas for Flights from August 29 to September 3

On August 24, the People's Government of Beijing Municipality issued a notice on the expansion of temporary restricted areas for flights. To ensure aviation safety during the commemorative events marking the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War, and in accordance with applicable laws and regulations, from 00:00 on August 29 to 24:00 on September 3, 2025 (local time), in addition to the previously designated restricted areas covering Dongcheng, Xicheng, Chaoyang, Haidian, Fengtai, Shijingshan, Tongzhou, Changping, and Mentougou districts, the administrative areas of Daxing, Shunyi, Fangshan, Pinggu, Huairou, Miyun, and Yanqing will also be included as temporary restricted areas for flights. Within these areas, the launch or release of any unauthorized airborne objects is strictly prohibited, including drones (such as FPV drones), kites, balloons, sky lanterns, and other items that could endanger aviation safety.
