The Great Wall Marathon of Huairou and Zayed Charity Run 2025 will take place on September 21. This marks the first time that the Zayed Charity Run is being held in Beijing. The event will include two race categories: a full marathon with 5,000 runners and a half marathon with 10,000 runners, with the total number of runners capped at 15,000.

For the first time, the half marathon will start and finish at the Yanqi Lake International Convention and Exhibition Center. Runners will pass through the Huairou Science City, and then turn back after reaching the Yanqi Lake Dam. With an elevation difference of just 57 meters, the route is wide and flat, making it easier for amateur runners to achieve their Personal Bests (PBs).

In addition, a variety of cultural and sporting events will be held. On September 20, the "Robot & Family Charity Run" will include a robot race for the first time, alongside runs for runners with special needs and a family fun run. From September 19 to 21, the "Emirati House" cultural fair will open at the Mutianyu Great Wall, where visitors can explore the vibrant folk arts of the United Arab Emirates, appreciate handicrafts, and savor authentic Emirati cuisine.
