Recently, the Beijing Forum for Performing Arts and NCPA Taihu International Stage Art Forum were held at the National Center for the Performing Arts (NCPA), Beijing Performing Arts Center and Taihu Stage Art Center.

The NCPA has hosted three sessions of the Beijing Forum for Performing Arts since 2019. It also initiated the World Association for Performing Arts (WAPA), with 34 art institutions from 22 countries joining to explore new paths in theatre operation. The 2024 Beijing Forum for Performing Arts, themed ''World Performing Arts - Towards a Sustainable Future'', focused on four key topics for exchange and discussion: cultivation of young artists, sustainable development in play creation, public education and audience development, and theatre operation, management and future prospects.

The 2024 Beijing Forum for Performing Arts invited representatives from over 60 domestic and international performing arts institutions in nearly 30 countries and regions to participate in discussions. Notable first-time attendees include the Grand Theatre of Bordeaux (France), the Municipal Theatre of Santiago (Chile), and the Cape Town Opera (South Africa) attending for the first time. This year's forum, to be held across the NCPA's "One Theatre, Two Centers" for the first time, will feature a total of ten forum sessions and convene the WAPA membership meeting.

In addition, the 2024 NCPA Taihu International Stage Art Forum was opened alongside the Beijing Forum for Performing Arts on November 2, focusing on the integration of acoustic aesthetics and stage art. The forum aims to shape the exciting technological development prospects of the vibrant stage art field through exchange and discussion.
