The 2024 "Book Feast Festival", organized by Beijing Publications Distribution Group Co., Ltd, commenced on November 11 and will run until December 10.

During the festival, over 100 top-class publishing houses from across China will showcase more than 100,000 high-quality titles to throw a grand feast for book lovers. Bookstores around Beijing will host over 100 offline events, including interactive reading sessions and promotions, alongside nearly 30 online live-streaming sessions. Zhongguancun Book Building will host events like full-book reading lectures, English story-telling sessions, book-sharing gatherings, and science lectures. Meanwhile, Yayuncun Books Building will launch cultural events such as a parent-child reading club, autumn-themed DIY sessions, and seasonal health lectures.

This year's "Book Feast Festival" also includes cultural fairs organized in special curatorial styles. At Beijing Book Building's event themed "Taste of Life - Flavors and Styles" (人生的味道——品味与品位), readers can enjoy various treats like baked goods, tanghulu (a Chines candied fruit snack), chocolate, and ice cream, while exploring unique handicrafts. Yayuncun Books Building will present a special exhibition of manga and anime products.

During the festival, major bookstores like Beijing Book Building, Wangfujing Bookstore, Zhongguancun Book Building, Yayuncun Books Building, and Xinhua Bookstore's several distinctive branches in Beijing will offer 35 to 60-percent discounts. China Bookstore's offline branches will provide 15-percent discounts on books, stationery, and creative cultural products (excluding books that are old, rare and specially priced).
