The Xiangshan Museum of the Founding of New China was officially opened to the public on September 13, 2019. It has received the China Construction Engineering Luban Prize (National Quality Project) and was named a "New Landmark of Beijing" by the media. The museum houses the permanent exhibition "Laying the Foundation of New China: The CPC Central Committee in Xiangshan" (为新中国奠基—中共中央在香山), which is currently the only large-scale exhibition in China comprehensively presenting the significant history of the CPC Central Committee during its stay in Xiangshan. It displays more than 800 photographs and over 1,200 cultural relics.
