National Palace of Ethnic Cultures

The National Palace of Ethnic Cultures is located on the western side of Chang'an Avenue in Beijing, and was one of the ten landmark buildings built in the capital to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China. With an exhibition area of 3,780 square meters, the National Palace of Ethnic Cultures has five exhibition halls and houses a collection of more than 50,000 cultural relics of ethnic groups from all over China, from both ancient and modern times. These collections are categorized into production tools, daily necessities, costumes and ornaments, musical instruments, coins and seals, official documents and imperial edicts, arts and crafts, religious articles, and so on.
