The Overseas Chinese History Museum of China is the country's first national thematic museum dedicated to fully presenting the history and current status of overseas Chinese communities. Housed in a complex blending a traditional siheyuan-style courtyard and modern buildings, this museum covers a floor area of 12,765 square meters and houses nearly 20,000 artifacts. The permanent exhibition features the history and culture of overseas Chinese, presenting cultural relics with the aid of descriptive texts and images, recreated scenes, artistic creations, and multimedia presentations. It showcases the historical evolution and social life of overseas Chinese communities, highlighting their pioneering spirit, entrepreneurial undertakings, and contributions across the world. The museum also documents overseas Chinese's support for China's revolution and national development, and traces the evolution of China's institutions for overseas Chinese affairs.
