The museum is Beijing's only museum dedicated to the grain industry, playing a prominent role in promoting public education on food security. Located in Damofang Cultural and Creative Park, the museum is adjacent to Yongdingmen Gate Tower. It features four major exhibition zones:

- Roots of Grain: Tracing the Origins (粮食寻根 追溯本源)

- Imperial Capital Water Transport: The Eternal Canal (帝都漕运 千古运河)

- Livelihood Security: Capital Granary (民生保障 首都粮仓)

- Smart Agriculture: The Future of Grains (智慧农业 粮食未来)
