The Labor Day holiday has arrived, and Beijing has rolled out a host of trendy, amazing events to lighten up your holiday with diverse experiences, inviting you to enjoy something different.

THE BOX Chaowai

Stores here get "refreshed" every few weeks or sometimes in a few days. Global debuts of new products, limited-edition pop-ups, and designer debut stores all take turns to open to the guests. In just two years since the start of operation, it has introduced over 50 first stores and flagship stores, with the total number of brands surpassing 100.

Longfu Temple

Until May 26, the "Nonstop Trendy Market at Longfu Temple" (马不停蹄，隆福潮集) will run at the central square of Longfu Temple. It features intangible cultural heritage items including the craft of making the figurines of Tu'er Ye (Lord Rabbit), Beijing jade carving, and inside painting. The event will also feature exhibitions and sales of finely crafted works from ICH-focused stores across China.

Shougang Park

The VALORANT Champions Tour (VCT) 2026 China Stage 1 playoffs will run at Shougang Park's Ice Hockey Arena until May 10. Eight top teams will compete for the Stage 1 title and three coveted spots at the VALORANT Masters London. This also marks the first-ever event of the VCT tournament series in northern China. Alongside the competitions, Shijingshan District and Shougang Park will host supporting activities including a trendy market, light shows, public welfare events, and nighttime consumption campaigns.

Beijing Craft Beer Festival

Until May 4, the Beijing Craft Beer Festival will also run on the outdoor lawn of Halls 11 and 12 at Shougang International Exhibition and Convention Center. Some of the top Chinese craft breweries and lesser-known ones with specialty offerings will all gather here. Professional electronic music performances will run throughout the four-day event. Combined with trendy sports experiences like kickboxing and Zumba, it presents a vibrant holiday party for visitors.

2026 Strawberry Music Festival

From May 2 to 4, the 2026 Strawberry Music Festival will be held at the Flight Camp (飞行营地) of the Beijing Expo Park. It will feature Johnny Marr (the guitarist of The Smiths) making his China debut, a special exclusive performance by Pixies (the pioneers of indie rock in the United States), and nearly 50 renowned musicians including members of New Pants, Shan Yichun, Tanya Chua, Yoga Lin, and Mao Buyi.
