As the summer holiday approaches, Joy City Xidan recently saw the opening of a wave of new stores, featuring over 10 first and new stores including national and Beijing's firsts. Among the highlights is the Baby Three's first pop-up store in North China, a wildly popular brand in Southeast Asia, alongside an exclusive Evangelion-themed exhibition for Beijing.

On the B1 level of Joy City Xidan, the China-chic vibe is amplified with Beijing's first stores of streetwear brand BJHG and maximalist toy store WOOD BUDDY. A trendy eyewear brand made its debut on the first floor as the first store in North China, while a collective store of original brands of young designers made its national debut on the second floor, joined by three well-known fashion brands. Foodies can explore new options like a restaurant dedicated to Yunnan-style wild mushroom hot pot (first in Beijing), a Jiangxi cuisine restaurant (first in Beijing), and an upgraded flagship restaurant of a chain clay pot cuisine brand.

More debuts are on the horizon, including a popular yogurt brand's first Beijing vendor and a top tea chain's first outlet in Xicheng District.

This year, the Xidan commercial district has actively introduced cross-cultural consumption brands from around the globe to fuel local economic growth. Centered on the debut economy and culture-commerce-tourism integration, it has created immersive shopping experiences through limited-edition drops, debut exhibitions of international copyrighted works, and anime-themed exhibitions, building a dynamic "retail + culture + experience" ecosystem. Joy City Xidan, alongside shopping malls like Huawei Building, Grand Pacific, and Hanguang Department Store, has hosted over 30 debut events including Pop Mart's "Twinkle Twinkle" and "MOLLY" exhibitions, debuts of global anime brands, and limited-time pop-ups, and launched more than 200 exclusive products.
