Beijing Chinese Rose Culture Festival Kicks Off: Highlights & Duration of Each Exhibition Zone

The "Blooming Beijing" 2026 Chinese Rose Culture Festival recently kicked off on May 18. This year, the festival features 12 exhibition zones covering nearly 400,000 square meters. Over 3,000 Chinese rose varieties across nine color ranges are awaiting.

Temple of Heaven Park

The park combines various Chinese rose flower displays in its dedicated Chinese Rose Garden, with Chinese rose-lined flower belts around. The exhibition spans about 20,000 square meters, featuring over 10,000 Chinese rose plants of more than 300 varieties.

China National Botanical Garden (North Garden)

Nearly 1,000 Chinese rose varieties are on display across a 7‑hectare planting area. A potted Chinese rose exhibition is also being held on the west side of the Chinese Rose Garden.

Taoranting Park

Taoranting Park

The Shengchun Shanfang (胜春山房) scenic area, which is a specialized Chinese rose garden located on the west side of the park, covers about 14,000 square meters of land. It centers on a central pond paired with diverse Chinese roses, with 6,000‑plus square meters dedicated to rose planting.

Dawangjing Park

Dawangjing Park

The park has a 9,000‑square‑meter flower field with over 50,000 Chinese rose plants of more than 400 varieties. A 500‑square‑meter camping zone is available for visitors.

Huaxiang Park

An 8-hectare expanse of Chinese roses dazzles visitors with more than 150 varieties and 350,000 plants.

World Chinese Rose Theme Garden

World Chinese Rose Theme Garden

Spanning almost 44 hectares of land, the theme park has over 70,000 plants of over 1,700 Chinese rose varieties. Besides diverse themed zones, the immersive displays in the core cultural venues of the Chinese Rose Museum are also worth a visit.

Central Green Forest Park

Central Green Forest Park

The core area of the Jingwan Friendship Chinese Rose Garden in Central Green Forest Park serves as a science exhibition base showcasing the diversity of Chinese roses and horticultural evolution. The surrounding 20,000-square-meter landscape features an expanse of roses, a rose valley, pergolas and columns, making it ideal for photo-taking and relaxing.

Garden of World's Flowers

Over 3,000 Chinese rose plants of about 150 varieties are all displayed across belts, climbing rose zone, viewing zones and the miniature landscape zone.

With over 300,000 plants covering a total area of around 50,000 square meters, the Chinese roses will reach full bloom in early June, with prime viewing time anticipated from June 15 to October 10.

A nearly 66 acre viewing zone for the cyber-style flower landscapes has been created, alongside themed rose landscapes across the whole park to deliver immersive sea‑of‑flowers experiences.

Caijiawa Rose Garden

Caijiawa Rose Garden

Built along mountain slopes, this garden has an extensive array of roses, fine Chinese roses and some other colorful herbaceous flowers too, all offering rich varieties and vibrant colors for you to see.
