In April, Chinese flowering crabapple trees burst into full bloom across Beijing, filling the city with a romantic atmosphere. This holiday, you must not miss Haitang Huaxi (海棠花溪), the one-kilometer-long stream adorned with Chinese flowering crabapple blossoms at the Yuan Dynasty Capital City Wall Relics Park. The stream has captivated locals and tourists alike for more than two decades.

Recently, the Beijing Chaoyang Chinese Flowering Crabapple Festival opened at the park. Visitors are treated to a dreamlike pink sea of flowers formed by 5,000 blooming Chinese flowering crabapple trees. They can also enjoy folk music, take boat rides, savor coffee, explore fairs, and play games, fully immersing themselves in the romance of spring.

In addition to Chinese flowering crabapple flowers, a celebration of peach blossoms will also be rolled out in Beijing soon. The 27th Beijing Pinggu International Peach Blossom Festival will open on April 10 and run through May 5. During the festival, Pinggu District will host a series of events, including a romantic matchmaking event, an event for pet interactions, a fitness walking event, Yongle Fair, an e-sports challenge, a new energy vehicle exhibition, and those featuring culinary delights related to intangible cultural heritage. It is reported that from April 5, peach blossoms in Pinggu will bloom successively, starting from plains and then to semi-mountainous and deep mountainous areas.
