Brazil Sees Launch of Its First 'Study in Beijing' Education Exhibition and Expo HSK

On June 10, the 2025 "Study in Beijing" Education Exhibition and Expo HSK opened in São Paulo, Brazil. The two exhibitions were aimed at promoting quality educational resources from Beijing and attracting young, outstanding Brazilian students to learn the Chinese language, get a full picture of Beijing, and choose China as their destination for further education.

A total of 15 well-known educational institutions from Beijing were present with their booths and attracted nearly 1,000 visitors. These institutions were Peking University, Beijing Institute of Technology, the Capital Medical University, the Capital Normal University, Beijing Youth Politics College, the North China University of Technology, Beijing Polytechnic University, the China Agricultural University, the Second High School Attached to the Capital Normal University, Beijing Zhongguancun High School, the Experimental School Affiliated to Haidian Teachers Training College, Tsinghua University High School - Xueyuan Road, Beijing Yuying Middle School, Tsinghua University High School - Zhixin, and Beijing No. 39 Middle School.

At the opening ceremony, Professor Dr. Cesar Martins, Executive Vice President of São Paulo State University, stated that the Confucius Institute jointly established by his university and Hubei University has achieved fruitful results over the past 17 years. Martins also expressed his hope that the two exhibitions would further enhance youth exchanges and visits between China and Brazil and consequentially train more talented individuals with a global vision.

Several cooperation agreements were reached between China and Brazil on the day of the two exhibitions. Colegio Bilingue Dexin in Brazil was awarded the title of "'Study in Beijing' Student Source Base School", with its student recruitment agreements signed with Beijing Institute of Technology, the Capital Normal University, the North China University of Technology, and Beijing Youth Politics College. Additional friendship school agreements were signed on-site, including those between the North China University of Technology and São Paulo State University as well as Alpha Lumen Institute, between Beijing Institute of Technology and Alpha Lumen Institute, between the Capital Normal University and Alpha Lumen Institute, Paulista University as well as IEST Group, and between Beijing No. 39 Middle School and Tiantian Overseas Chinese Overseas Education School in Brazil.
