Recently, the 2026 International Cultural Festival at the Central University of Finance and Economics was held. Built around interactive experiences at cultural booths representing various countries, this year's festival created an immersive, up-close setting for cross-cultural exchange and attracted many Chinese and international faculty members and students to take part.

At the festival, cultural booths representing more than 20 countries were arranged in rows. International students from each country served as booth hosts, displaying distinctive handicrafts, texts and images featuring traditions, ethnic costumes, and specialty foods from their home countries. Interactive games and hands-on activities were also held for visitors to explore folk traditions. Visitors could listen to students from various countries share stories about local customs and traditions, experience folk customs of different countries, sample distinctive foods from around the world, and gain first-hand insight into the richness of diverse cultures.

The Chinese cultural booth also drew considerable attention. Chinese and international students took part in traditional Chinese activities such as pitch-pot, lacquer fan making and mooncake making, gaining a deeper understanding of Chinese civilization through hands-on participation and promoting two-way cultural exchange between China and other countries.
