On October 6, during the Mid-Autumn Festival, Badachu Park hosted a themed cultural event titled "Handicrafts Convey Longing for Reunion" (手作寄团圆), joined by 16 international students from the North China University of Technology.

The event, underlining both experience and interaction, included activities such as making mooncakes and hands-on experiences of some cultural crafts. The participating students kneaded dough, wrapped fillings, and pressed them into molds to make delicate snow-skin mooncakes. Through the event, they were able to gain insights into the festival's cultural significance and shared their understanding of the Mid-Autumn Festival.

The students also tried making flowers made of silk, wrapping wire, and weaving knots, learning about the auspicious meanings behind the traditional Chinese motifs.
