During the 22nd International Awards For Liveable Communities (2024), Guangyanggu Urban Forest Park, located in Xicheng District, Beijing, won the Gold Award for the "Environmental Sustainability Projects" and the only Special Award in the "Landscape Improvement and Public Spaces" category for achieving the highest score in that category.

Founded in 1997, the International Awards For Liveable Communities is the world's only international competition that covers crucial topics such as urban and community environmental management, ecological development, resource utilization, the relationship between mankind and nature, and sustainable development. It is often referred to as the "Green Oscars".

Guangyanggu Urban Forest Park is situated at the intersection of Xuanwumen Outer Street and Caishikou Street, covering an area of 47,000 square meters. It is Beijing's first "urban forest" demonstrative green space. The project's construction commenced in 2017, and was generally completed in 2019. Since then, the park has become a "forest at the doorstep" and "community in the forest", providing the public with a multi-functional ecological space with splendid scenery, which is ideal for cultural activities and leisure.
