Good news for foreign travelers arriving at Beijing Daxing International Airport! The Vehicle Administration Station at the airport's terminal has issued over 150 provisional driving permits since the start of this year, allowing foreign visitors to obtain driving permits soon after arrival. This service has garnered overwhelming praise from foreign travelers.

The Vehicle Administration Station located on the second floor of Daxing Airport recently received a consultation call from a tour guide at an international travel agency. The guide was planning to lead 12 Malaysian tourists to China who intended to drive during their journey and inquired about the process of obtaining temporary driving permits for them. A police officer at the station informed the tour guide over the phone about the necessary documents in detail, such as exit-entry documents, original copies of driver's licenses, and one-inch photos. The police officer also arranged an appointment for the group to submit their applications.

A few days later, the tourist group arrived at Daxing Airport. The 12 Malaysian travelers arrived at the terminal's Vehicle Administration Station at the scheduled time, submitted their materials, filled out application forms, and completed other necessary procedures. An hour later, all 12 travelers successfully obtained their provisional driving permits.

To meet the needs of travelers, the Daxing Airport Branch set up the Vehicle Administration Station on the second floor of the airport's terminal last August. The station provides a range of services for both Chinese and foreign travelers, as well as residents living nearby, including renewing driver's licenses, reissuing licenses, processing applications for vehicle inspection labels for the vehicles exempt from inspection, and reviewing the relevant applications to issue temporary vehicle license plates. The station is equipped with self-service physical exam machines, photo booths, and more. Every applicant can complete the entire process including information collection, photo-taking and physical exam to receive a driver's license in one stop.
