The renovation of the permanent venue for the China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS) at Shougang Park in Shijingshan District has recently been completed. The revamped site is now ready to welcome the 2026 CIFTIS with a brand-new, "stylish and cool" look that is like a town for international exhibitions and conventions.
Located in the northern section of Shougang Park, the "town" is centered around Shougang International Exhibition and Convention Center. Its distinctive landscape brings together the mountains nearby, waterfront scenery, the heritage of the 2022 Winter Olympics, and industrial landmarks, while connecting the surrounding urban spaces with the Yongding River waterfront, creating a garden-like, clustered exhibition space layout that offers a journey-like experience.
The three newly built venues, Halls 2, 3, and 4, have a total floor area of 144,600 square meters. Their facades feature a striking combination of steel gray, rust red, and metallic silver, fully embodying industrial aesthetics.
Halls 2 and 3 are connected by an elevated walkway, while a sunken courtyard between them serves as a commercial street with nearly 30 food and beverage outlets.
Hall 3 features a spacious column-free interior, suitable for exhibitions, conferences, product launches, and small concerts, while its rooftop lawn offers a distant view of Gongbei Pavilion on Shijing Mountain nearby.
Hall 4 has photovoltaic panels integrated into its facade, highlighting both a low-carbon design and visual appeal.
