As the daytime heat fades away, Beijing transforms into a city full of nighttime allure. The Beijing Municipal Commerce Bureau has launched a guide highlighting seven nighttime surprises in the city. Check these out!

Haidian: Zhongguancun's Food Carnival

The 2026 Zhongguancun Chinese Food Carnival is in full swing next to the Beijing-Zhangjiakou Railway Park, blending technological flair, food, and nighttime entertainment.

From Beijing-style tripe and skewers to Sichuan and Yunnan dishes and dim sum, delicacies from all parts of China can be found right here. The festival will last until late August, with live band shows and cultural performances in rotation. Plus, your exclusive ticket stubs can unlock additional perks.

Monday to Thursday: 17:00–22:00

Haidian: 1733 Valley Food Market at Dazhongsi Square

Prefer to avoid the crowds? The 1733 Valley Food Market at Dazhongsi Square offers a tranquil nightlife escape amid the urban bustle. You can enjoy free outdoor movie screenings under the evening breeze at 19:00 on August 21 and 23, or catch the Sparkle Live (闪闪live) sessions which fill the night with soft, soothing melodies every Friday and Saturday.


Chaoyang: Dadu Trendy Beverage Festival at Beijing Olympic Park

The event runs daily from 16:00 to 21:30 on the Landscape Avenue in the central area of the Beijing Olympic Park. It brings together new trendy beverages, regional specialty food, intangible cultural heritage performances, Chinese-style fashion shows, relaxing social activities and more. With iconic nighttime views as the backdrop, this vibrant market lets you experience the charm of summer nights around China without leaving Beijing. The festival will run until August 22.

Chaoyang: Cool Park's Car Boot Market & Summer Carnival

This event will take place at Cool Park every Friday and Saturday from 17:00 to 21:00 until the end of September. The market offers a dazzling array of novel handmade goods, trendy trinkets, specialty food, pet products, and fun activities—all from the trunks of cars. Meanwhile, the Morning Coffee—Evening Bar Summer Carnival (早咖晚酒·消夏嘉年华) continues, with folk music concerts scheduled every night, creating a soothing nighttime soundscape.

Dongcheng: Longfu Temple's Summer Trendy Night Market

Longfu Temple's Summer Trendy Night Market (夏季潮集夜市) opens daily from 17:00 to 22:00 until October 18, combining time-honored Beijing brands with a contemporary twist. You will find classic local bites from Longfu Temple Snacks (隆福寺小吃), Baikui Laohao (白魁老号, a Halal restaurant), Minghua Shaomai Restaurant (明华烧麦馆), and Century-old Yili (百年义利, a bakery). The market also offers regional cuisines from across China to satisfy foodies with different preferences.

In addition to the rich food offerings, the market is a hub for creativity and culture, offering China-chic products, intangible cultural heritage-inspired handicrafts, an open-air cinema, fashion shows, and folk music runway shows. This blend of old and new makes the century-old street even more vibrant and trendy, especially after dark.

Fengtai: Huajie Night Market at Beijing Flower Trading Center

The night market, adjacent to the Beijing Garden of World's Flowers, opens daily from 18:00 to 24:00 and will run through mid-October. It offers a unique and delightful day-to-night experience. You can admire the lush blooms during the day, and by night, immerse yourself in a bustling marketplace with delicious food, creative souvenirs, performances, and photo spots. 


Tongzhou: MixC Shoukai Tongzhou's Carnival with Youth Gigs

MixC Shoukai Tongzhou is rolling out a packed lineup of activities and performances this August. On August 22, 29, and 30, the L1 atrium and L7 dome will host idol performances, street dance competitions, and other dance events. Meanwhile, the Valley Gathering Space (溪谷聚场) on the B2 level will present the "Valley Youth Song Fest" (溪谷青年歌会) and the "Grand Canal Dramas" (运河有戏) public performances, with pop music and traditional shows taking turns to fill the stage.
