Beijing takes on a different charm after dark, with everything from night cruises to immersive market performances offering visitors new ways to experience the city.
Night Tour of Badaling Great Wall

The Badaling section of the Great Wall has relaunched its night opening sessions, which will run until October 6. Visitors can interact with staff dressed in traditional costumes, take part in themed activities, and write greeting letters at a traditional-style post station. Dance performances and other nighttime shows are also scheduled throughout the event.
"Ming Dynasty Fashion Carnival" at Juyongguan Great Wall

The Juyongguan section of the Great Wall has also just launched its night tour. The 3rd "Ming Dynasty Fashion Carnival – Dramatized Juyong" started at the same time and will run until July 31. Blending Ming Dynasty frontier culture with immersive interactions, this event offers a chance to explore history in a lively setting.
During the carnival, China-chic bands will perform during evening sessions. Visitors can also receive discounts on cultural and creative souvenirs using yinpiao (ancient-style banknotes).
'Sailing Along the Canal' Special Tour in Tongzhou

Launched in the Tongzhou Canal Cultural Scenic Area, this project is Beijing's first mobile immersive waterfront performance. It is now open to the public. The approximately 50-minute tour combines lighting, music, and live performances to present the history and culture of the Grand Canal.
2026 Chongwen Xishi – Beer Culture and Life Festival
Launched in the Chongwenmen commercial district, the festival is expected to continue until late October. Visitors can sample craft beers and specialty snacks while enjoying band performances and intangible cultural heritage folk performances in the stage area.
Huajie Night Market in Fengtai

Near the Beijing Flower Trading Center in Fengtai, the newly upgraded night market offers visitors a one-stop nighttime experience combining food, entertainment, shopping, and flower-themed activities. From floral-inspired snacks to flower-arrangement workshops, there is plenty to explore.
Woniu Music Festival in BIG Shopping Park in Asian Games Village

The Woniu Music Festival recently opened and will continue until October 8. Performances are held every Saturday from 18:30 to 21:00 at Woniu Square in BIG Shopping Park. During the festival, alongside the dazzling performances, nearby food stalls, snack vendors, and trendy pop-up booths also stay open, allowing visitors to enjoy music while exploring the market atmosphere.
