Beijing's first true floating music restaurant, the Canal Cruise Restaurant (运河酒号), which was upgraded from the Grand Canal Boat No. 009,  officially began operations on August 7.

Cruising through the core section of Beijing's Grand Canal, the floating restaurant will take passengers on a 1.5-hour journey, offering a unique combination of dining, music, and riverside scenery. The route passes landmarks including Qianhe Xielu Bridge, Dongguan Bridge, and Yudaihe Bridge, where water curtains and lights along the banks blend, and the bridges contrast beautifully with modern architecture. The Canal Cruise Restaurant runs two evening cruises daily, with the first starting from 18:30 to 20:00, and the second from 20:30 to 22:00.

On board, guests can enjoy dishes prepared by a professional culinary team, including the signature sandwiches from the viral brand Cappuccetto Rosso, freshly poured craft beer, as well as exquisite fruit platters, specialty drinks, and delicious bar snacks.

Beyond its dining offerings, the Canal Cruise Restaurant also serves as a floating concert hall. During the cruise, traditional Chinese folk arts, instrumental performances, and contemporary music take turns entertaining guests. Fine food, refreshing beer, live music, and the river breeze come together to create an unforgettable immersive experience.
