Beijing's Imports and Exports of Goods Hit Record Highs in H1 2026

In the first half of this year, Beijing's total imports and exports of goods reached 1.78 trillion yuan, representing an increase of 16.5 percent compared with the same period last year. Specifically, imports amounted to 1.47 trillion yuan, up 19.4 percent, while exports reached 313.3 billion yuan, marking an all-time high.

At present, Beijing's trade with the Belt and Road partner countries reached 912.18 billion yuan, accounting for more than half of its total imports and exports. Regarding ports, the trade activity at the two aviation hubs (the Beijing Capital International Airport and the Beijing Daxing International Airport) remained robust. The combined import and export value via the two hubs reached 410.98 billion yuan, up 18.7 percent year on year.

Over the first six months, Beijing exported 7.07 billion integrated circuits, indicating a year-on-year increase of 11.6 percent, with an export value of 28.73 billion yuan, surging 137.6 percent year on year. Integrated circuit exports contributed 124.3 percent to the growth of Beijing's total exports. During the same period, imports of semiconductor manufacturing equipment and grain hit 23.43 billion yuan and 43.93 billion yuan, respectively, rising 124.7 percent and 64 percent year on year.
