Recently, Shijingshan District has launched "A Letter from Sunset Glow" (落霞来信), a signature campaign integrating the sectors of culture, tourism, business, sports and exhibitions. By pooling resources for leisure visits, cultural experiences, commercial consumption, sporting events and more, the district has developed a waterfront public space under its "Two Parks and One River" layout, as well as new dynamic urban venues and cultural tourism consumption scenarios, offering everyone an ideal destination to explore the landscapes and beautiful sunset views of western Beijing.

Endowed with exceptional mountains and rivers, Shijingshan is graced by the meandering Yongding River and verdant rolling Western Hills. Together, they form distinctive sunset vistas exclusive to western Beijing, making the district one of the capital's prime spots to admire evening glow and embrace natural scenery.

Drawing on riverside highlights including flower fields, flying birds and sunset views along the Yongding River, the district has set up multiple sunset-themed art installations at Yong Ding He Ji (永定河集, an open-air market). It has rolled out OrangeWalk, a dedicated sightseeing route for sunset viewing. The district has also partnered with more than 40 catering and souvenir businesses at Yong Ding He Ji and Shougang Park to launch "sunset-exclusive limited gifts", alongside a range of special drinks. Every weekend, the special event "Meet at Sunset Hour" (落霞时分见) will be held here, featuring open-air film screenings, live music performances, yoga, Baduanjin (Eight-Section Brocade) and African drum shows.

A batch of awesome spots for viewing the sunset have been announced, all located within Shougang Park, enabling tourists to snap photos blending industrial heritage and gorgeous sunset views in one go. The park houses giant trendy installations and themed pop-up shops, and will host fan meetups and movie screenings throughout summer. Furthermore, a concert will be staged at Beijing VAS inside Shougang Park on July 11. "Beijing Core: Boundless", a flagship production of the China National Acrobatic Troupe, will run nonstop until October 25. The seamless linkage of sports tournaments, live performances and catering businesses keeps fueling the summer riverside consumption boom across western Beijing.

Shijingshan has also launched a lineup of summer night events. At Yong Ding He Ji, 1001moons presents the nationwide premiere of its exhibition "Wind Intention", and folk music performances hosted by OK Party start right at dusk. Meanwhile, local commercial venues boast one-of-a-kind offerings: Joy City Jingxi's Beer Garden and Football Night Market (啤酒花园·足球夜市) and Xirondo Plaza's "Chill Dream Town" Market (“足够有趣”市集). Collectively, these venues make summer packed with fun marked by tasty treats and recreational delights.

Visitors with valid tickets for these matches may claim complimentary OrangeWalk sunset-exclusive limited gifts on the same days.
