On the evening of May 29, the 8th Beijing Guijie Night Festival and the "Have a Cray-zy Summer" Crayfish Festival officially opened on Guijie Street. Over the next three months, the event will center on crayfish-themed dining experiences while integrating culture, commerce, tourism, and sports to inject new vitality into Beijing's nighttime economy.

During this year's festival, restaurants along Guijie Street will continue to showcase the authentic flavors and culinary traditions that have made the street a beloved food destination. Through a Beijing-Inner Mongolia cooperation platform, specialty delicacies from Huade County in Inner Mongolia will also be introduced, bringing the flavors of the grasslands to Beijing's vibrant food scene.

And it's not just about the food. A variety of emerging lifestyle and trend-driven brands will make their debut on Guijie Street, featuring China-chic creative products, craft beverages, outdoor camping experiences, and other contemporary attractions. These additions aim to transform the historic street into a lively urban space filled with both local charm and modern leisure experiences.

Festival-goers can also look forward to a range of special promotions and consumer benefits offered through major online platforms.

On June 3, the food platform Meituan will host a dedicated live-streaming event from Guijie Street, allowing viewers to explore the street virtually while claiming a share of consumer subsidies worth millions of yuan. Douyin Local Life Services will launch a curated food and exploration map of the neighborhood, collaborating with influencers to introduce themed walking and dining routes. Yanjing Beer will partner with participating merchants to offer free beer with qualifying purchases throughout the festival.
