Yanqing District
Badaling Night Wall ▶ Beijing International Garden Festival & Strawberry Music Festival ▶ Jingzhuang Town
Starting April 30, the Badaling Great Wall has been illuminated again at night. Visitors can enjoy an entrance ceremony, interactions with Great Wall sentries, and nighttime dance performances. During the day, head to Shixia Village to stroll along the Great Wall Forest Trail and taste authentic stewed pork head.
The Beijing International Garden Festival is currently underway at the Beijing Shi Yuan International Tourism Resort. From May 2 to 4, the 2026 Beijing Strawberry Music Festival takes place here. Music fans can present their ticket stubs to enjoy discounted coffee, special room rates, and buffet meals. A festival fair is also available on-site.

The Thin Strip of Sky at Jianganling Village
Jingzhuang Town features a 21-kilometer looping cycling route that passes through popular scenic spots, villages known for their intangible cultural heritage, and natural landscapes. There are seven rest stops along the route. Liugou Village is home to Beijing's first rural outlet mall. Visitors can also enjoy a traditional brazier-style tofu feast. Jianganling Village boasts a well-developed outdoor adventure park, with multiple hiking loops suitable for visitors of all skill levels.

Yinshan Pagoda Forest Scenic Area
Yinshan Pagoda Forest Scenic Area is the site of ancient temples from the Liao and Jin dynasties and houses the largest existing cluster of dense-eave pagodas. During the Labor Day holiday, the scenic area offers a one-hour gentle trail and a three-hour summit trail to accommodate visitors of all fitness levels. Nearby, grilled lamb chops are a must-try local specialty.
Baifuquan Park is home to the starting point of the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal. The highlight here is the stunning natural wonder of "Dragon Spring Rippling Jade". Visitors can also cycle along the 10-kilometer lakeside trail. At the east gate, an Angry Birds-themed park and a forest ranch are perfect for families. Delicious local pancakes are available at nearby restaurants.
Known as the "Little Dali of the Beijing Suburbs", Xinzhuang Village boasts a vibrant arts scene. During the Labor Day holiday, the village hosts a Strawberry Season Handmade Creations Market and a folk concert as part of its Sunset Concert series.

Cultural Heritage Study Tours
During the May Day holiday, Zhoukoudian Site, Yunju Temple, the Cave of Stone Flowers Scenic and Historic Area, and Shangfangshan National Forest Park are open to the public free of charge. Zhoukoudian Site offers educational activities such as the Ancient Artisans experiences and bone needle grinding. Yunju Temple focuses on the preservation of stone sutra culture with hands-on activities like sachet making and stamp-collecting heritage treasure hunts. The Cave of Stone Flowers, with unique karst geological wonders, organizes exploration tours to the Center of the Earth.
Mountain Retreat
Legu Yintan Scenic Area in Zhangfang Town is hosting the themed Xianpa Festival (仙葩节) in a secluded wonderland of mountains and lakes, with immersive NPC performances. Outdoor activities like canyon rafting and mountain luge have been upgraded. Pofeng Ridge is blanketed with blooming smoketrees, offering an expansive and idyllic mountain landscape. Chateau Lion Winery is offering a host of activities, such as family camping, outdoor barbecues, hands-on workshops, and exclusive wine offers.
