As the Qingming Festival holiday has come to an end, there's another long holiday coming up in 17 working days. In accordance with the Notice of the General Office of State Council on Arrangements for Several Public Holidays in 2026 (关于2026年部分节假日安排的通知), the Labor Day holiday will last from May 1 (Friday) to May 5 (Tuesday), totaling five days. May 9 (Saturday) is designated as a working day.

Attention, all those planning to travel by car:

During the holiday, toll roads will be free of charge for all passenger vehicles with seven seats or fewer, as well as motorcycles permitted to travel on ordinary toll roads.

Time Requirements:

For any ordinary toll road, the time a vehicle passes through the toll gate shall be within the holiday period.

For any expressway, the time a vehicle exits the toll gate shall be within the holiday period.

It is advised that all drivers shall use the same lane types when entering and exiting an expressway (i.e., if you enter an expressway using a manual toll lane, it is not recommended to exit via an ETC lane) to avoid unnecessary trouble, especially for ETC-equipped vehicles.

To be more specific, if you enter an expressway via a manual toll lane, please do not choose the ETC lane when exiting it, as you will not be able to pass through normally. Without the entry information of your vehicle, the exit barrier will not rise, and you can only turn back to a manual lane to exit.
