On March 30, the Italian version of the International Web Portal of Beijing (https://italian.beijing.gov.cn) was officially launched. With this addition, the portal is now available in 10 languages: English, Korean, Japanese, German, French, Spanish, Russian, Arabic, Portuguese, and Italian, providing comprehensive one-stop online services for foreign-invested enterprises and expatriates.

The International Web Portal of Beijing serves as a vital channel for Beijing to present its capabilities for foreign-related services to the world. Integrating information release, public services, and interactive communication, it provides global users with a wide range of convenient one-stop services concerning payment, transportation, education, daily life, tourism, and business establishment. The portal offers user-friendly guides covering both business services—such as investment, project filing, and company registration—and personal services, including visa applications and accommodation registration. It also supports online appointments and application processing, helping foreign-invested enterprises and international professionals better understand Beijing, integrate into the city, and enjoy their stays.

The Italian version features a clean and elegant interface design. The homepage opens with a dynamic video showcasing Beijing's modern urban landscape, ecological scenery, cultural landmarks, and profound historical heritage, highlighting the unique charm of this international metropolis. Users can quickly access city profile information, service guides, and event updates through the navigation bar, as well as ask questions and provide feedback for efficient online interaction.

In terms of functional structure, the Italian version adopts a scenario-based and integrated design, offering 10 specialized service sections to make information retrieval more intuitive and efficient. These sections focus on five core themes: investment, technological innovation, tourism, education, and culture, systematically integrating various information resources to provide one-stop services for foreign-invested enterprises and expatriates in Beijing. Additionally, the portal strengthens government service functions by offering one-stop access to guides on the five most requested services: visa application, transportation, payment services, work permits, and the 12345 hotline. With clear categorization, streamlined procedures, and user-friendly language, these guides help users efficiently complete online processes.

The portal also features a city updates section, which brings together city updates, special policy interpretations, and information on various urban events in real time, offering a comprehensive view of the capital's development. Through visual formats such as infographics and calendars, it helps expatriates to stay informed on the latest news in Beijing, understand policies, and easily access channels to participate in featured city events.

The "Stranieri a Beijing" (Foreigners in Beijing) section shares the stories of ambassadors, foreign entrepreneurs, expatriate workers, international students, and tourists, presenting their memorable moments in this vibrant, charming city.

The launch of the Italian version further expands the language coverage of Beijing's international services, providing greater convenience for more expatriates in Beijing. It also serves as an important pillar for showcasing the city's openness and inclusiveness while supporting the city’s efforts to enhance its services for international exchanges.
