Tongyun Men Station on Subway Line 6 officially opened on June 30.

The station has officially opened after being closed for 12 years due to archaeological excavations and integrated development of the surrounding area. Six supporting roads have now been built around the station, namely Tongsheng South Road, Donghaizi Street, Donghaizi South Street, Tuba Street, Tuba North Street and Waiheyan Road. Among these, Tongsheng South Road is a six-lane, two-way road, while the other roads are equipped with bicycle and e-bike parking areas as well as taxi drop-off zones.

Transport connections have also been upgraded there, with Bus Route T48 adding a stop named "Tongyunmen Subway Station" (地铁通运门站), which is adjacent to Exit No. 2 of the subway station. Two temporary taxi pick‑up and drop‑off points have also been set up nearby, and four new shared-bike parking zones have been introduced there too, accommodating approximately 700 shared bicycles, with bike deployment adjusted dynamically to meet demand during the morning and evening rush hours. To better serve riders using their own non‑motorized vehicles, about 2,000 additional parking spaces will be added in phases at the station square and along surrounding roads. Meanwhile, four nearby parking lots provide more than 900 motor vehicle spaces, which can mostly meet the parking needs for commuters transferring to the subway station.
