Attention to all drivers! From April 4 to 6, May 1 to 5, and on May 9, 2026, motor vehicles in Beijing will be exempt from weekday peak-hour traffic restrictions based on the last digits of license plate numbers.

Passenger vehicles from outside Beijing with valid Beijing entry permits (进京通行证) for driving within the 6th Ring Road will be exempt from the following restrictions:
- The ban on driving within the 5th Ring Road (inclusive) during 7:00–9:00 and 17:00–20:00;
- License plate-based restrictions during 9:00–17:00.

However, drivers of these vehicles must still follow other existing rules. They are prohibited from driving on and within the 2nd Ring Road, as well as Jianguomen Outer Street, Fuxingmen Outer Street, and Fuxing Road (from Muxidi Bridge to Xinxing Bridge) at all times.

Share this with your friends who drive in Beijing!
