On November 15, the 38th China Film Golden Rooster Awards were announced in Xiamen, Fujian. The documentary Hotline Beijing was awarded Best Documentary/Science and Education Film.
The judges commented that the film, centered on the Beijing 12345 Hotline, captures modern urban governance from multiple angles through real-life stories. Using a documentary-style approach, it strikes a perfect balance between grand narratives and micro-level documentation, vividly interpreting the governance wisdom of a people's city and presenting the institutional innovation and social significance of the "swift response to public complaints" mechanism.

So far, Hotline Beijing has won the International Communication Award For Chinese Stories in the Special Jury Awards category at the 2nd Golden Panda Awards, the Annual Special Recommended Documentary Film at the 4th Chinese Documentary Film Festival, and the Best Documentary Film of the Year at the 21st Chinese American Film Festival. In September, the film was screened in Los Angeles and New York, where it drew strong responses from local media and audiences, offering them a window into contemporary China, the daily lives of its people, and Beijing's urban governance practices. In November, its premiere in Hong Kong further fostered exchanges in urban governance concepts and enhanced cultural and artistic interactions between Beijing and Hong Kong.
