On August 12, the World Robot Conference (WRC) 2025 was concluded in Beijing E-Town.
Themed "Making Robots Smarter, Making Embodied Agents More Intelligent", this year's conference featured a three-day main forum and 31 side events. It brought together 416 experts, scholars, and entrepreneurs from China and abroad, as well as representatives from international institutions, to present new technologies, products, and applications in the field of robotics. A total of 123 new products were revealed, alongside the Proceedings of Advanced Robotics and Automation (2025), highlighting the latest breakthroughs in the field.
In terms of industry promotion, the conference presented 1,569 products from 220 renowned robotics companies worldwide, securing financing of 1.481 billion yuan. Research publications, such as the 10 Trends in Embodied Intelligent Robots (2025) and the Robot Global Expansion Research Report, were released. Six talent plans were initiated, including the Cultivation Plan for Talent with Embodied Intelligence Skills and the Promotion Plan for Building Embodied Intelligence Robot Training Platforms. At the "2025 WRC Investment and Entrepreneurship Star" Project Roadshow and Special Event on China's Innovation in Embodied Intelligence, top 10 outstanding projects were selected, and a platform established for the efficient matching of technologies, capital, and industries. The side event also attracted high-quality innovation projects from around the world, with many cooperation agreements reached on site.
Regarding application promotion, the Top 10 Potential Application Scenarios for Humanoid Robots were released, and over 500 application scenarios were set up on site. The inaugural E-Town Robot Consumption Festival was launched, featuring venues including the Robot World and the Robot Mall. A total of 19,000 robots and related products were sold, generating revenue of over 200 million yuan. At the same time, the BCI (Brain-Computer Interface) Brain Control Robot Competition showcased innovative application scenarios in brain-controlled robotics, and a record was set for the brain-controlled quadruped robots.
The conference received support from 28 international institutions and invited 32 globally renowned experts to share insights on the innovation frontiers and emerging applications in robotics. It attracted 527 international guests, 1,731 foreign visitors, and 160 international competitors. Organizations such as the ASEAN Federation of Smart Industry, the Robotics Association of Nepal, and the Cameroon Robotics Association announced their needs for robot application scenarios. Enterprise Singapore released 29 procurement and cooperation requests.
